HOME:: Quit Smoking

I Thought You Where My Good Friend
By Alan Crisp

A short article about a new way to look at smoking in your life.

I am often asked by people who call or email me about therapy for stopping smoking, “how much will it cost to stop smoking”? I always respond “a lot less than it will cost to keep smoking, and I don’t just mean the money”.

Smoking always reminds me of the old friend you used to have. He/She would always be there when you needed them, when you where lonely, when you where stressed, when you where bored, any time at all when you needed some support to get through. However, one day you found out that this trusted old friend of yours was actually siphoning money out of your bank account a truly alarming rate. What’s even worse is that this old chum was also endangering the health of the very people you held most dear in life (including you yourself).

It seems the loyalty and help of your special chum came at quite a price. In fact this friendship could have cost you every thing, perhaps even your own life and certainly your health. Hanging onto this old chum could have cost you juts about everything else that helped or supported you too, including your social connections, your participation in sports, your self esteem and maybe even all your other friends.

Just stop for a moment and ask yourself, what other friend would seek to destroy me while offering support. What other friend would drive away those of your friends who didn’t share your total commitment to their way of doing things.

Perhaps you begin to see that old chum of yours for what they really are…a cold blooded killer and destroyer of health and happiness. Well help is at hand in the form of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Make the break now and change your life for the better, not just for now but for all the years to come. Happier years, cleaner years, fitter years, more productive years.

I’d love to help you stop smoking, just like I did all those years ago. Just give me a call and we’ll have a chat about your new life without smoking.
